These are various pieces I designed while working for Vestil Manufacturing. Vestil’s branding choices and overall look are outdated, so my goal with every project was to push their design boundaries while maintaining the current branding. Their logo and the signature “swirl” background are their two major forms of identity.
Vestil Flyer for Blackhawk Industrial, 2018

This is a a co-branded show flyer from 2018 I created for Vestil to advertise the new products added to Blackhawk Industrial’s website. It is special to me because this was the first advertisement created by Vestil featuring one of my CGI-rendered images. This was also the first product group photo I rendered completely from Solidworks models and features many built-to-order items all to scale with each other. All products shown are part of Blackhawk Industrial’s promoted Vestil line.
Fastenal Flyer

I created this co-branded flyer in 2021 for the Fastenal Company. It features a few of Vestil’s products from their 10,000+ sku assortment. Fastenal branding guidelines include making sure their specific blue is used in their designs. Vestil is very specific also, calling out the use of Pantone 2945C for their preferred blue. The blues are very similar, but not exactly the same. My solution? Bleed them together in a gradient so everyone wins! The titles of each section are done in “Fastenal” blue, but the tables fade from Fastenal’s color to “Vestil” blue at the bottom of each header. The result is a very nice blend to make this one-page flyer modern and clean.
Grainger Flyer

This is a two-sided flyer created for in 2019 for Nucor, one of Grainger’s subsidaries, that is highlighting Vestil’s best-sellers to Grainger. Grainger is not as specific as some of the other large distributors when it comes to the use of their logo and how we combine our branding with theirs, so this is more heavily branded towards Vestil’s preferred look. The headings throughout are all red to remind the viewer that this is a Grainger flyer. The rest of it includes Vestil blue in the table headers and their signature swirl background. The flyer was printed and distributed to the Nucor reps as a promotional piece.
KPC Newspaper Ads

These are ads I created for the special Industry section that runs yearly in KPC News in 2019 and 2020. At the time, Vestil was advertising their new Plant 4 building, which was completed in 2019. This is the main focus of the ad, as well as advertising open positions within the company.
High School Paper Ad

Vestil is always looking towards the future. They pride themselves on offering well-paying positions for people who choose trade school over college. This ad was ran in a local high school paper showing those opportunities as well as what college degrees can make a great career field. The ad is black and white but still features Vestil’s signature “swirl” background and bold typography to draw attention to each section.
MSC Quicksheet

I created this pdf for an internal project for MSC Industrial Supply to pass out to their sales and project teams. It includes pertinent information about the company and how to navigate the extensive product line. This is a perfect example of Vestil branding but with sans serif typography and an original layout to modernize it.
ProMat 2022 Show Flyers

I created these branding pieces for the ProMat 2022 trade show in Atlanta. The bold font at the top of the page draws your eyes to the headlines and the sans serif font and the clean tables keeps it easy to read. Vestil wanted the images to be the main focal point of the flyers, so I arranged them in a purposeful way to keep your eyes on the page. These were passed out to potential distributors and customers.
