The Little Mermaid Blister Card Packaging Design Project

I had a fun packaging design project while in college. I own the cutest Little Mermaid Polly Pocket from the late 90s/early 2000’s and I was required to create a blister card package for it. Above is the finished product after print with the Polly Pocket. It includes an illustrated diagram of the inside of the Polly Pocket on the back.

To the right is my initial sketch of Ariel and below are the files for print. We first needed to create a logo for our product line. My item became the first of the Clamshell Playcases for Polly Pocket, using inspiration from the product itself to create a fun logo. We were required to include five bullet points about the product, a barcode to scan and a diagram explaining the item’s features. Then we also had to make sure the blister card was the correct size for the product. As you can see above, my blister card is the perfect size for the Little Mermaid Polly Pocket.
